This new English version of the four Gospels has been translated directly from the Greek and is largely based on two princial texts, the 3rd edition of the United Bible Society's The Greek New Testament and the 26th edition of Nestle-Aland's Novum Testamentum Graece, although in places variant readings have been preferred.Where style and accuracy allow, inclusive language has been used.
