This is such a beautiful depiction of the Eucharistic Lord, presented in the Monstrance as we adore Him on our altars at Benediction.
Surrounding the jewelled Monstrance, we see an image of the Lord seated at the Last Supper and then in the form of the supreme sacrifice, He is hanging on the cross.
The inscription at the foot of the card reads: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
This phrase is also represented in Latin at the foot of the Monstrance: Ecce agnus Dei qui tollit peccata mundi.
On the reverse side of this artistic depiction, there are three prayers relating to Holy Communion. The first may be said after reception, the second is an Act of Spiritual Communion and the third is a lovely prayer before Our Lord in Adoration – Tantum Ergo.
A real masterpiece of word and image contained in this sturdy Holy Card.
