Description
A novena (from the Latin: Novem, meaning nine) is an act of religious devotion originating in ancient Christianity, often consisting of private or public prayers, repeated for nine successive days in belief of obtaining a special intercessory grace (usually through Our Blessed Lord, Our Holy Mother, or one of the saints).
This particular book is a novena to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The front cover has a most beautiful image of the Holy Mother holding the child, Jesus.
Within this slimline booklet, there are various prayers and illustrations, as well as a brief history of the origin of this popular devotion.
A beautiful little booklet for anyone devoted to the Blessed Mother.
