Here we present a lovely wooden Rosary in the spirit of St Benedict. The 5mm wooden beads are strung on a strong brown cord with St Benedict medals representing the Our Father of Pater beads. The silver crucifix also includes the St Benedict medal.
Saint Benedict, was born c. 480, in Nursia, Italy. He died c. 547, at Monte Cassino.
The rule that he established became the norm for monastic living throughout Europe.
In 1964, in view of the work of monks following the Benedictine Rule in the evangelization and civilization of so many European countries in the Middle Ages, Pope Paul VI proclaimed him the patron saint of all Europe.
