Wearing a cross/crucifix is a powerful and much-needed witness to all who we meet, that we profess Christ. As Saint Francis so eloquently said to his followers, “Do all you can to preach the Gospel and when necessary, use words.” So, we can preach without preaching when we wear the cross.
